DESCRIPTION:Beyond the Small Talk: Connecting Across Cultures\nWelcome back after the summer! \nAs we kick off the autumn season\, we invite you to step away from the usual work conversations and join us for an afternoon of connection\, curiosity and a little bit of fun. \nFor the first time\, we are bringing together the Ideon Science Park HR Network and Communication Network for a shared event exploring what happens when we move beyond small talk and connect across cultures. \nWhat does communicating across cultures really feel like? \nWe invite you to a guided mingle\, facilitated by Kristy Marcard from Marcard Language & Culture\, where conversation becomes the learning experience. \nThrough simple\, playful interactions\, you will get the chance to: \n\nmeet new people and reconnect with colleagues\nexplore how culture influences the way we communicate\ndiscover how small differences can create both challenges and opportunities\nadd a few new tools to your communication toolbox\n\nAnd\, of course\, there will be a glass of bubbly\, snacks and plenty of good conversation. \nBecause in a world where communication is becoming increasingly digital\, fast and impersonal\, human connection matters more than ever. \nCome as you are. Leave the small talk behind. \nMeet our facilitator\nKristy Marcard is an intercultural trainer\, language professional and\, first and foremost\, a person who is passionate about helping people connect. \nHaving left her home country and culture more than 20 years ago\, she has experienced first-hand what it means to navigate cultural differences.
