February 5 @ 10:00 - 10:30
Are you curious about the latest tech from Ideon Science Park?
In the Ideon Tech Talks webinar, you will get a front row seat on breakthrough technologies from some of the sharpest minds within the park.
With our four focus areas in mind, Future of Transportation, Smart Cities, Smart Materials and Health Tech, we have put together an inspiring series where we dive into the most interesting topics.
The guests range from a wide field of competences within work such as 5G, IoT/IIoT, AI/ML/DL, cleantech, radar tech, robotics, software, energy, VR/AR, telecom and nanotech. To name a few!
Mikael Egard, COO, Co-founder of Acconeer AB
Based on research from Lund University, Acconeer has created a unique radar solution that forms new opportunities for human interaction with technology. Combining high accuracy and a small size in the world’s most power-efficient radar sensor opens up opportunities in a wide range of applications, products and businesses. Hear the story about how it all started and learn about some of the success cases so far as well as about the endless innovative applications the revolutionary technology can be applied to. Customer products so far include Social Robots and IoT solutions such as parking sensors and tank-level meters.
An area which looks bright for the future with several design wins is child presence detection in cars, where the radar sensor is used to detect a child or pet that is left behind in the car so that an alert can be sent to the owner. Thanks to its high precision, the radar sensor can identify a child even if it is sleeping or covered by a blanket.
Through the global outbreak of Covid-19, gesture control and touchless interaction with devices and appliances went from nice-to-have to a necessary feature. With Acconeer’s groundbreaking technology, reliable and cost-efficient touchless implementations could be applied in anything from elevator buttons and public information screens to personal devices as small as in-ear headphones.
