DESCRIPTION:Medicon Valley Alliance invites you to join this network meeting on Women in clinical trials\nWomen are underrepresented in clinical studies – especially in phase I trials were only 29 – 34 % of participants in Phase I trials are female. And 74 % of clinical trials do not report outcome by sex. But why is that?Is the reason for fewer women in clinical research mainly because researchers worry about the costs and legal issues if a participant gets pregnant? Also\, does it seem like including women in studies brings extra expenses for sponsors because they might react differently to the new drugs\, and age-related differences make things more complex? Does the tradition of leaving out certain groups affect how many women join clinical trials? And how do new rules about representation impact getting more women involved?Even though involving more women in trials can be more expensive and trickier for sponsors\, it’s important. This helps us really understand how drugs work. If a drug has more problems or doesn’t work well in women\, it can be even more expensive to take it off the market later. The Career Day is aimed at Master’s students\, PhD candidates\, and postdocs specializing in life science. We anticipate a full auditorium and well-attended breakout sessions during this full-day event.As part of the Career Day\, we are now offering companies with recruitment needs the opportunity to book exhibitor spaces to connect with well-educated students looking for employment in the life science sector.View the program and invitation sent to students here» \nPractical information regarding exhibitor spaces for companies\nThe exhibition will take place in and around Café Inspira at Medicon Village. An exhibitor space consists of a standing table and room for a roll-up banner and should be staffed from 12:00 to 17:00. During this period\, student participants will have lunch\, visit the exhibition\, and attend various breakout sessions before gathering for a joint Science After Work event starting at 16:00. \nBook Exhibitor Space\nExhibitor spaces\, including lunch\, are offered at two levels: \n\nStartups/companies with fewer than 10 employees: 3\,000 SEK for one person. Additional representatives cost 400 SEK per person.\nLarger companies: 5\,000 SEK for one person. DESCRIPTION:Välkommen på kick-off för YH Lund 9/11\nKompetensbrist är en stor utmaning för många arbetsgivare.Yrkeshögskoleutbildningar (YH) är skräddarsydda utbildningar där branschen bestämmer utbildningens innehåll\, såväl teoretiskt som praktiskt. För dig som är arbetsgivare är YH en effektiv väg att rekrytera kompetent personal med goda resultat. Hela 94% av alla arbetsgivare som rekryterar från yrkeshögskolan anser att de examinerades kompetens i hög grad motsvarar de behov som krävs.9 av 10 som har gått en YH-utbildning får jobb efter examen.På kick-offen kommer ni arbetsgivare att möta utbildningsanordnare av YH-utbildningar för att därefter tillsammans utveckla och ansöka om de utbildningar där kompetensbehovet är som störst.
