Cross-Border Talent Bridge:

A Collaborative Effort to Strengthen Talent Acquisition in the Öresund Region

Together We Attract Talent

Ideon Science Park has joined forces with Lund Municipality, Medicon Village, OpenTech, Copenhagen Capacity, Copenhagen Municipality, and Medicon Valley Alliance, we’re actively driving talent acquisition in the Öresund region’s tech and life science sectors.

This project, co-funded by Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak, tackles the growing demand for skilled candidates, talent, in these fields by creating a collaborative environment that attracts, retains, and develops top talent across the entire region. By encouraging talent capabilities to attract talent and promoting seamless mobility across the borders, the project aims to fuel the region’s economic competitiveness and unlock its full innovation potential.

The objectives of the project include to:

  • Develop a long-term, cross-border talent strategy for the tech and life science
    industries.
  • Establish coordinated support for both businesses and talent in the Öresundsregion.
  • Empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to recruit international talent.
  • Promote career opportunities and identify factors crucial for attracting and retaining
    talent.
  • Advocate for strategic policy changes to facilitate cross-border talent mobility.
  • The three-yearlong project starts in September 2024.
