Last week marked the launch of Sweden Startup Next, a national initiative aimed at strengthening Sweden’s innovation and startup ecosystem through better access to data, insights, and long-term tracking.
Sweden Startup Next is an independent national platform that collects, analyzes, and shares knowledge about Swedish startups and scaleups, enabling more data-driven decision-making and well-targeted efforts across the entire innovation system.
The initiative is jointly led by BLING, FUHS – Föreningen Universitetsholdingbolag i Sverige, the innovation offices of Swedish higher education institutions, and SISP – Swedish Incubators & Science Parks, which together represent over 100 research and innovation environments across the country.
From Ideon’s perspective, it is particularly exciting that Region Skåne came on board early as a partner and helped make the development of Sweden Startup Next possible. We also want to extend a warm thank you to all the collaborating partners and funders who support the initiative and this long-term commitment.
Together, we are taking an important step toward a more transparent, coordinated, and competitive Swedish innovation system.
