€6.5 Million to Take Lund Robotics to the Next Level

August 14, 2026

Cognibotics has secured €6.5 million through the EU’s EIC Accelerator programme to accelerate the commercialisation of its high-speed robotics technology.

The Ideon-based company has developed a picking robot designed to operate significantly faster than conventional industrial robots.

The funding will support five pilot installations with key customers in logistics and manufacturing across Central and Northern Europe. For the first time, Cognibotics will provide both the robots and the complete software solution.

The pilots are expected to get underway during the first half of 2027, helping demonstrate the technology at industrial scale and paving the way for wider adoption.

Congratulations to Fredrik Malmgren and the Cognibotics team!

Another exciting example of cutting-edge robotics and innovation growing right here in the Lund innovation ecosystem.
