‘Ideon-Company’ in a Fruitful Merger

September 26, 2023

DVel, located at Ideon Science Park since 2018, is one of Sweden’s largest providers of customized hardware testing systems. Prevas, a development company with technical expertise, is acquiring 51% of DVel AB. Together, the companies will strive to establish a leading position in advanced testing systems.

DVel, experts in testing and measurement technology, have successfully delivered testing systems to the manufacturing industry, medtech, and telecommunications sectors for eleven years. Over one-third of DVel’s consultants hold doctorates in physics. Baxter, Ericsson, Haldex, and Saab are among their customers.

We moved to Ideon Science Park from Malmö about five years ago. The location was crucial for us; we wanted to be closer to our customers, says Riki Virc, CEO of DVel. From our office, we can see Baxter, Axis, Ericsson, and other customers of ours. It is a great location that allows us to maintain frequent contact with our customers.

Prevas is looking to expand in the region.

Together, we are expanding our offering in product development, where the blend of technical excellence, innovation, and the ability to develop complex solutions is an appealing combination for both clients and staff. The merger with DVel also provides us with much-needed growth in the region, with a strong presence in Lund, says Roland FerngÄrd, regional manager at Prevas.
