On June 9th, 1983, the groundbreaking for Sweden’s first Science Park – Ideon – took place! The area, Pålsjö meadows, looked very different then, as the name hints, it was mostly meadows and farmland.
The groundbreaking was made by Gun Hellsvik, chairman of Lund Municipality, Nils Hörjel, Governor of the County Administrative Board of Skåne and Nils Stjernquist, principal of Lund University.
Since then, the park has grown and today we are 400 companies and 9000 sharp minds working on creating the future, together!
