Big news from Ideon-based Nordic Forestry Automation (NFA), which has closed its largest funding round to date, raising SEK 48 million.
NFA develops technology combining sensors and AI to support forestry machine operators. Its first product creates a real-time digital representation of the forest, helping operators make better decisions during thinning. The technology is already used in seven markets across three continents.
The new round is led by Navigare Ventures and Almi Invest Greentech, with participation from existing investors including Sveaskog, Södra Skogsägarna and Almi Invest, while LRF Ventures joins as a new minority investor.
The investment will help NFA accelerate both product development and global expansion – including the next step towards systems that can partially control forestry machines autonomously.
