Next week, JOIN business and technology will be taking over our Instagram account. So we took the opportunity to talk to Pernilla Zetterlund Lind from JOIN. Did you know that JOIN was one of the first companies to move in to the park in 1984?

Hey, Pernilla can you tell us a bit more about JOIN and what you do?
– We are a company that helps other companies to make their product so that it can go for production and hence sale. So, it is mostly products that are strongly tech or medical related. People come here with an idea and ask us if the product they want to make is even possible. We try to make that product work by making a prototype of that. Hopefully if it works they can start manufacturing the product and sell it.
Do you help them just with the prototype or also with the steps after that (like finding an investor)?
– We can help them a bit, we mostly focus on helping them design and make their product. Of course we have already formed different business relationships, so we can help them to get in contact with different people that can further help them. If we do not have the exact contacts we can at least tell them where they should go and who would be able to help them out the most.
Who are the people that work here?
– Most of us are different types of engineers. Technical, mechanical, electronics, we have also a lot of computer engineers. Our whole idea is that we have people for everything for designing the product, creating the program for it, and then we have 3D printers that can create the prototype. We have people in order to do the whole process of getting your product from an idea stage to a working product (production) stage.
What are you going to show us next week on Instagram?
– On Thursday, we host a breakfast meeting with companies from Ideon Science Park in order to make new connections and form new business relationships. We also want to use this as a chance to show who we are and what we can offer. We will finish the week by sharing our experience from the meeting. What happened, how was it, what did we learn.
