*DUNS number (short for Data Universal Numbering System) is a unique nine-digit identifier assigned to a business entity by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), a global business information provider.
- A unique numeric identifier that distinguishes a business globally.
- Created and maintained by Dun & Bradstreet since 1963.
- Used to identify companies in D&B’s business credit database.
