Former Minc CEO Launches Defense Incubator at Ideon

Daniel Persson, former CEO of Minc, has taken on a new role leading Ideon Science Park’s latest initiative in defense and security. The new accelerator, Amyna Innovation Platform, aims to connect Skåne-based startups with government agencies and the defense industry.

“It’s essentially a platform for innovation and development, supporting startups in different ways,” says Persson.

“An important part is building contacts and creating relationships. We are in dialogue with FMV and the Swedish Armed Forces, and we already have Saab as an industry partner. We will also make sure that companies offering products or services for the defense sector have the opportunity to take part in an accelerator program,” says Persson.

The first program will host 10–20 companies, with a planned duration of four to six months starting this fall. Startups can participate either on-site at Ideon or remotely. The goal is for the accelerator to become a long-term part of Ideon’s core activities, with several iterations planned.

Persson, who led Minc since 2021 and previously served as an army officer, says the role is a natural continuation of his work: helping innovative small and medium-sized companies grow and connect to European and global markets.
