Helios Innovations took home the winner’s title in Carnegie Investment Bank’s and Svenska Dagbladets Näringsliv’s competition Entrepreneur of the Future.
“It’s incredibly exciting, especially since so many have supported Helios here tonight,” said founder Jonatan Persson after the win. He founded the company when he was 16.
The winning business idea:
Helios Innovations’ proprietary technology makes it possible to purify hazardous industrial wastewater on-site in a sustainable way – using industrial waste heat.
Thanks to this, industrial companies will avoid transporting millions of liters of water across the country to treat the waste elsewhere.
Carbon footprints of the industries can be reduced.
Just a few days before, Helios Innovation was on the NyTeknik’s 33 best Swedish technology start-ups list. Johanna Gillberg, COO says:
