Daniel Persson, Head of Amyna
This weekend in Munich at the Munich Security Conference – MSC Startup Hub – one message came through loud and clear:
Innovation is now a strategic pillar of European security.
The conversation has shifted from why startups matter to how we integrate them faster:
- How we create better testing environments?
- How we build tighter collaboration between industry, startups, and the public sector
- How we mobilize smarter, more patient capital.
Daniel Persson, Head of Amyna, and Johan Vaernholt, Head of Business Development at Ideon Science Park, were on the ground representing Southern Sweden and the Øresund region in these discussions.
At UnternehmerTUM and the MSC Startup Hub, they met entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem leaders actively shaping Europe’s security landscape.
From conversations with founders like Daniel Oblitas Garafulic to insightful discussions on cooperation and innovation with Christian Hösle, Simon Herzog, Wolfgang Dengler, and Lizette Kristiansen Taguchi — one thing stood out:
Europe is moving and collaboration across borders is accelerating.
For Southern Sweden and the Øresund region, this is not just interesting. It’s highly relevant,” says Daniel Persson, Head of Amyna, at Ideon Science Park.
We combine:
• Strong industrial capabilities
• World-class research
• Deep tech expertise
• Ambitious founders
The ingredients are here, and so is the momentum.
The real question is: How boldly will we act?
A big thank you to Anton Dahlquist and the Embassy of Sweden in Germany for valuable insights into the German ecosystem and for facilitating important connections.
The work continues!
